Dave Wilson ~ A Blessing To The Ministry

Many of you may have received an email or letter from our
missionary translator, David P. Wilson. Dave has over
twenty years of missionary experience serving in Argentina,
Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and
Alaska. Dave has a BA in Elementary Education, Bible, and
Missions from Hobe Sound Bible College in Florida. He has
served in various positions over the years, such as an
Administrative Director for Campus Christian
Fellowship/Polar Evangelism, Inc. He served as pastor,
university professor, field director, National Church
President, and Bible school teacher, while a missionary for
World Gospel Mission. He is a brother & friend to many
blessed Christians. Dave is fluent in Spanish and has a
heart for this ministry. He always points out that his
translation abilities are a gift from God. We feel blessed
that the Lord would bring such an experienced translator to
our “ministerio pequenito”, or small ministry. Currently,
Dave has been translating our children, family, and
ministry correspondence from his home in Indiana, while
working as a legal assistant. He started law school on
August 19th, let us keep him in our prayers! “Dios te
bendiga y muchas gracias por tu gran trabajo.” God bless
and thank you very much for your hard work!

Edwin Kent & Shawn Larson ~ “Bendiciones Especiales”,
Special Blessings

After hearing Pastor Emilio Battz sermon on giving to those
in need, Edwin Kent was moved. Pastor Emilio recalled an
experience that his wife Ester had while teaching Vacation
Bible School (VBS). She asked a young child to wear a
clean shirt the next day to VBS. The child showed up the
next day with a shirt on. On further examination, Ester
saw it was the same shirt turned inside out. Ester
recognized that the child was so impoverished that his
family could only afford one shirt. Her heart was broken
at this realization of the child’s level of poverty.
Edwin’s heart was broken too when he heard the story being
told. He sponsors a child and this prompted him to
immediately contact some friends after the church service.
One family he contacted, the Larson Family, donated over
350 pounds of new & like new clothing for those in need.
Shawn Larson is the father of seven also sponsors two
children in Guatemala. Pam Chevalier was pleased to tell
us that they have begun to distribute the clothing, with
diapers and personal hygiene items in San Pedro to those in
need. “Bendiciones Especiales”, a special blessing, to
Edwin Kent and the Larson Family for responding to God’s
call into their hearts.
