A Word From Joe LoMonaco (Founder/Executive Direct

“A DECADE”…………
When I was young, a decade… 10 years… seemed like a
lifetime. Not so anymore. Now, 10 years seems to pass very
quickly and I don’t measure it in “time” anymore, but in
productivity. Time is so valuable these days, I have to
make the most of every moment. I am constantly evaluating
what I had accomplished during any particular period of
time. Over 10 years has passed since I first stepped foot
on the shores of Lake Atitlan at San Pedro La Laguna and as
so many of you have witnessed, great measure of
accomplishment can be made when we look back at the history
of Proyecto Fe………..Truly God’s own ministry!
As you have read within these pages, lives have been
incredibly changed and continue to be changed. From the
heartfelt expression of appreciation from Emilio, Ester,
Pamela and the girls, to the demonstration of great fruit
by the presence of Fabiola and Jullissa here in Alaska to
study at Grace Christian School for a year, To God be the
Glory!
With a goal to become as fluent as possible in English,
Fabi & Julli will be our “Pilot Program’, so to speak, and
if this next year goes well, they will be the first of many
students from Colegio Bethel school who through Proyecto
Fe’s Student Scholarship Program, are blessed with the
opportunity to come to Alaska to study. We, as Americans,
can’t even begin to imagine what this means to students
from small Maya villages in the Guatemala Highlands, like
San Pedro La Laguna.
This is the “Cup of Water” Jesus spoke of in the New
Testament. All of us who give a cup of this “precious
water” to an impoverished child in a Third World country
like Guatemala, will surely be blessed. It’s God’s promise
and we can count on it. Thank you for participating as you

Matthew 10: 42: “…And if anyone gives even a cup of cold
water to one of these little ones because he is my
disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose
his reward."
