2/25/2007:  We’re stuck in Houston…….our flight was about 12-15 minutes late we blasted through customs really fast and had a cart driver dude drive us to our gate and the flight was gone…..we missed it by just a few minutes.  We have a 24 hour wait for the next flight and are staying at a hotel.  Mary DeSpain

2/25/2007:  It is such a blessing to see all the kids getting their new uniforms. They are so exited. We have a lot of new students this year!  What a blessing to have new students and families to be able to reach for the kingdom.

The February Mission Team sponsored 6 kids - our team had only 18 members (several of which were kids). What a blessing!!  Amy Estabrook

2/22/2007:  Well time is running out here in beautiful San Pedro!  Tonight we have a big dinner at the school.  Everything has been going really great; the team is getting along well and it is fun to have kids on the trip.  We have many un-sponsored kids now to add to the website.

Yesterday we took a trip to the mountains to meet 4 pastors and look at their churches (or land).  It was a great experience to see how the people live up there.  They have so much faith!  It was a long day on the bus with bumpy roads.

We have been taking turns in our evening devotions sharing our testimonies, tonight is my turn.  God is really moving in my life, it is easy to see things that God is trying to tell me in a place like this!  See you soon,  Amy Estabrook

2/19/2007:  Our first two nights in San Pedro we were able to have dinner with our sponsor families. This is one of the best ideas yet! With translators sitting with us we were able to get to know them better and have a more relaxed time of visiting. This idea is a KEEPER...a MUST for every team that has several sponsor children!!!

We went to Emlio's church last night and it was wonderful. The team sang a couple songs, I sang one song and Kelsey signed a song with a CD background.

We made overheads in Spanish ahead of time so the people could know the words that we were singing and signing.

The people here are wonderful as usual and we've had loads of hugs and kisses.

We've made several family visits and every one is different and wonderful but sometimes hard....hearing of the different tragic things that have happened to some of the people. We always pray with them and do what we can to encourage them.

All of the kids (Zac, Kelsey, Brenna and Jocolyn) on the trip are doing really well and interacting with the kids at the school. We've taught some songs, filled holes in desktops and chairs and will put a finish on them later this week, we've replaced glass windows, given vitamins to all the children, did crafts with several classes, organized all the uniforms which starting tomorrow we will be starting to hand them out to the kids, washed lots of dishes, and of course gave out and recieved many more hugs and kisses.

Tonight (Monday) we meet with Emilo and tomorrow is another day filled with adventure.

Everyone is doing great with their health and we're loving the beautiful land and people of San Pedro.

Either Amy or I will try to write back in a couple days.

Blessing to you~

Mary DeSpain
