Proyecto Fe’s short-term trips take place throughout the year and are usually based in San Pedro La Laguna on the shores of Lake Atitlan. These trips are normally 10 days long and focus on service to the Mayan community and more specifically to Colegio Bethel, our sponsored Christian school. If you sponsor a child at Colegio Bethel, you will have a chance to meet and spend time with them and their family. Projects can range from construction work, painting, teaching, sports clinics, sewing, organizing, cleaning, medical/dental treatment, putting on a Vacation Bible School session, cooking, and so much more! The point of the trip is to serve, and you may find yourself doing that in any number of ways!

Youth Group Trips

The first youth trip is usually held during spring break. These trips are filled with adventure that challenges the youth to grow closer to Christ. The youth are able to be helping hands at the school or in other community areas and they become a shining light by showing compassion and God’s love to others. Your involvement in numerous activities and fellowship will change your perspective on life in the United States and focus on the importance of living in the world, but not by its standards.

Adult Trips

These teams will be working on construction projects, medical & dental missions, hurricane relief, and general encouragement to the people in the mountain villages around Lake Atitlan in central Guatemala. Your prayers and financial donations are always appreciated.

Parent & Child (Family) Trips

Proyecto Fe hosts parent & child trips each year. We look forward to many trips in the future and to hearing how God moves in the lives of the parents & children. If you are interested in participating in an adult & youth trip, please contact us at 907-258-0555 for more information.

Medical & Dental Trips

There is always a great need for and shortage of professional medical/dental teams. In 2013, the first medical team to work in the new clinic traveled to San Pedro La Laguna in April. Almost half of the volunteers on this trip work in the medical or dental fields. Don’t let your lack of training in the medical field stop you from participating in one of these teams. Support staff are always welcome and a very important part of any medical mission trip. Please prayerfully consider partnering with Proyecto Fe to bring medical & dental attention to Guatemala.
