Hola from San Pedro La Laguna!

Hello friends and family. Thank you all for joining us in prayer and every other way that you made this trip possible. After many hours of flying (and waiting), we arrived in Guatemala City last night, and enjoyed an amazing dinner and overnighting at the Hostal Los Lagos. 

After breakfast today, we boarded a bus with an expert driver and drove several hours through some amazing country to Lake Atitlan. We enjoyed a great lunch of hamburgers and home fries while overlooking the Lake. The youth have been “wowed” by the food so far. We left our lunch spot and boarded a large boat for the hour and a half ride to San Pedro.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by teachers and staff or the Christian School, Colegio Bethel, and Proyecto Fe staff, who helped us transport our gear and the totes we brought to our hotel. We enjoyed about an hour of getting to know these Guatemalan leaders and some students from their Middle School. It was heart warming to hear that they have been praying for us and are so excited that we are here. Our youth all spoke very well in their introductions. They have also been enjoying worship and youth led devotions every day. I am proud of how well they are all doing.

Our hotel is very nice, and though it is very early we are turning in. We are all worn out from the travel. We leave early tomorrow to go visit the ministry of the mountain
churches surrounding the Lake. Please continue to pray for us and we will keep you updated.
